What is the period of the function?
The function sine is periodic with period 2π. The function is translated to the left, which has no effect on the period. Also, the amplitude is doubled but this has no effect on the period either.
The absolute value has an effect on the period, since it makes all the negative values positive. As a result, the period becomes π.
